It’s the month to celebrate all that is pride friendly, and we couldn’t be more excited. From breweries hosting amazing Pridefests–the first time in 2 years!–to special beer releases, these are our favorite breweries and all the ways they’re celebrating Pride.
1. Lady Justice Brewing
Our favorite 100% woman-owned brewery is woman, minority, and queer-owned so while LJB might be in Aurora, we knew we had to include them. They’re celebrating pride with the return of 2 of their specialty beers–Big Gay Beer and I Can See Queerly Now which benefit two organizations, Transformative Freedom Fund and Out Boulder. On top of that, the Big Queer Beerfest is being held this Saturday, June 18th, in collaboration with Goldspot Brewing Company, a festival with more than 30 participants raising money for good causes. Head to their website to get drink tokens.
2. Call to Arms Brewing
After a two-year hiatus, Call to Arm’s PrideFest is finally back, offering specialty tappings, live music, and a Pride Parade. The party takes place on Saturday, January 25th, with the parade starting at 2pm, with live music at 4pm and food trucks from 12 to 7pm. Their specialty batches will be Narnia of Partya, Call to Arm’s official Pride brew You’re Not Gay, I Am, a Double Dry Hopped West Coast IPA.
3. Fiction Beer Company
Fiction Beer Company combines two of our favorite things: books and beer. Enjoy book clubs monthly and special beer releases dedicated to new and popular fiction. This year for Pride, head brewer Dan Blei created a beer that celebrated his LGBTQIA+ community. Their release for the month is Brightening Glance, a Belgian Witbier that has notes of vanilla and orange like a creamsicle, and that celebrates dance and the novel Dancer from the Dance by Andrew Holleran. They’ve also got Drag Bingo on select days, so you can keep track of their upcoming events on their socials.
4. Cervecería Colorado
Cervecería Colorado is celebrating Pride with their Días de Drag series with special events, crowlers, and more. They collaborated with artist Bryan Montes-Terrezas to create a beautifully illustrated Crowler designer. Even better, 15% of crowler sales will be donated to One Colorado at their free Días de Drag show happening this Sunday, the 19th. The party starts at 11am and is in collaboration with Denver Beer Co.
