Thrift shopping has increased in popularity over the last few years thanks to social media, which you can see as a positive thing or a negative thing. A rise in prices aside, thrift shopping can be an excellent way to spend an afternoon, whether it be hunting for decade specific style, antique homeware, or a long sought after record or movie. We’ve collected just a small group of thrift stores that you can check out here in Denver when the mood strikes. Here are 6 vintage stores to shop sustainably.
1. Peak Thrift
Peak Thrift is a small boutique-style vintage store in is a Peak Thrift isn’t just a thrift store, but a non-profit that works with youth experiencing homelessness by offering work training, clothing, and donating 100% of their proceeds. They’re closed on Tuesdays, but are open 10am-5pm (and closed from 12:30 to 1pm daily for cleaning).

2. Boss Vintage
Boss Vintage is a hip and stylish independent consignment store selling t-shirts, dresses, jeans, belts, accessories, and wigs. They also have a selection of brand new and vintage denim to choose from. You can do some decade shopping, find clothing from popular television shows and movies, and hunt amongst wholesale and vintage items alike for your next great find.

3. Rags Consignments
Go designer shopping at a fraction of the cost. Rags Consignments has a newer location in Cherry Creek and their original location in Boulder, plus a warehouse opening there as well. Consignments’ goal is to provide quality clothing at an affordable price, with brand names like Lululemon and Free People frequently being sold.

4. Ten Penny Store
Ten Penny Store is a curated consignment store with decade clothing ranging from the 1930s to the 1990s. Located in South Broadway’s Antique Row, this small store has clothes for men and women alike, and of all sizes. The shop was also started by a vintage loving Denver couple, who have also filled the stock with vintage records, collectibles, and antiques alongside their clothing.

5. Goldmine Thrift
Goldmine Thrift offers unique and one-of-a-kind pieces that have been curated through the owners travels across the U.S. There’s a definitely love of 70s clothing and band tees here so if this is more your style, you’ll likely want to check them out.

6. Meek Vintage
Meek Vintage is a modern space providing homemade arts & crafts, home goods, and new and curated boutique clothing. They’ve also have a guest spot for vintage curators, like New Relevance Vintage who recently set up a rack there.

7. Global Thrift Store
Global Thrift is a callback to normal, cheap thrift stores with a variety of different clothing to choose from that’s been donated from around the county. You’ll never know what sort of unique finds you’ll stumble across after an afternoon of digging, and we all know the search is half the fun.
