If you don’t do yoga, are you even considered a Denverite? One of the Mile High City’s favorite pastime is yoga, whether it be indoor or outdoor, and for this article, we rounded up 6 of our favorite yoga experiences that can take your practice to the next level. Whether it be a totally inclusive-style studio or yoga on a hotel rooftop, here are our favorite places to experience a unique yoga session.
Bring in the Fall Equinox with a special rooftop yoga class at Espadín LoHi. Enjoy a session on breath work from 9-10am and in October, there will be yoga sessions with Mind Over Mat. You have to reserve your space online, but if you’re staying at the hotel, yoga is free for a limited number of guests. Check the website for the schedule and see what suits your week.
Courageous Yoga is an all inclusive community that operates on a donation-based business. POC get a discounted price of $10 and there are 3 different tiers of payments at $16, $26, and $32. They offer multiple yoga sessions at different times, from morning to early evening, weekdays and weekends.
One of the most awe-inspiring music venues in the world is offering yoga classes that feel more like an experience than just a simple class. Each session costs $17 (or you can buy a season pass during the summer at a price point of $150) and all sessions start at 7am. Anyone with a season pass gets early access as well as a complimentary cooler! Every participant is also asked to bring their own yoga mat and water.
4. SUP Yoga
If you’re interested in becoming one with the water, you can do SUP (that’s standup paddle board) Yoga at Aurora Reserve, and tickets cost $35. These classes usually run through summer and early fall, and you can buy tickets online.
5. Yoga in the Park
If you enjoy outdoor yoga, you can attend free outdoor sessions taking place at City Park, ranging from gentle flow to morning flow classes. You can follow Yoga in the Park’s Instagram where they post which sessions will be taking place for the upcoming weekends, or you can see their full schedule on their Meetup page.
6. Yoga Sessions at Breweries
We wanted to include a few different brewery options since Denver is a great spot to combine the two activities, drinking and yoga. Check out a few of the sessions below or go to YogaandBrews website to see where they’ll be headed next.
- Every first Wednesday from 6-7pm at Great Divide Barrel Beer
- Every first Saturday from 11am-1pm at Ratio Beerworks
- Every Tuesday from 6-7pm at Sanitas Brewing Company
