Originating in Houston in 2016, Black Restaurant Week was created by Warren Luckett, Falayn Ferrell, and Derek Robinson. Their mission is to create promotional campaigns and events that celebrate African-American, African, and Caribbean cuisine.
Their inaugural campaign is launching in Denver this weekend all the way until March 26th with more than a dozen participating restaurants. Because there’s flexibility with the locations, even restaurants in different areas can participate like Aurora’s Endless Grind Coffee.
From TeeLee’s Tea House & Bookstore which is offering limited time offers and a free cup of tea if you mention Black Restaurant Week to discounts from participating vendors like TK’s Surf and Turf Kitchen and their signature items like The Works, a viral food item.
Check out their website to see a full list of participating vendors, and happy eating!
