From Quality Branded, the restaurant group that’s behind global concepts such as the new Greek restaurant, Kini’s, as well as Cretans, a new Mediterranean lounge, comes a new vibe-y new piano lounge in the Clatyon in Cherry Creek North. Welcome Chez Roc, a Midcentury Modern Moroccan-inspired Lounge and Cocktail Bar.
The cocktail menu has been created by Cherry Creek native, Joey Smith, who is also bar director at New Yorks’ Chez Zou and Zou Zou. From riffs on classic cocktails like the Manhatten and Sazerac to signature cocktails, like the Roccorita, with blanco tequila, mezcal, date, fino sherry, lime, olive, and harissa spices. The fare is light bites, from small finger foods, a raw bar, and raw oysters, and there will be live music by local pianists.
The decor is inspired by legendary nightclub El Morocco in Manhattan that was popular from the 1930s-50s among celebrities. The decor has rich colors like orange and blue, inspired by Midcentury Modern interiors, El Morocco’s interiors, and the country itself.
“I am so excited to bring this new concept to my hometown and to Cherry Creek, the neighborhood in which I grew up,”
said Smith. “I began my restaurant career here, and after training years in New York and around the world, the opportunity
to bring my experience back home is very fulfilling.”
Head to Chez Roc this Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5-11pm or Fridays and Saturday from 5pm-1am.
