City Park Jazz is back in June, continuing 131 years of tradition.
City Park Jazz is returning to Denver this year for its 36th season, starting June 5th and happening every Sunday through August. This communal celebration is honoring a tradition that dates back to 1986, and will be showcasing a ton of fabulous local artists in the process. Every Sunday, head on over to the park for a free concert celebrating jazz, blues, and salsa music, culture, and community.
Kicking us off on June 5th from 6pm to 8pm is a tribute to Ron Miles featuring Shane Endsley. Miles, a Denver-native, was a songwriter and cornet player who passed away early this year on March 8th.
City Park Jazz will run for 10 family-friendly weeks where you can live concerts every Sunday until Auust 9th from 6pm-8pm at the City Park Pavillion.
Beer is allowed (though not in glass bottles), and in return, the park asks for help in keeping the area clean. Bring your own blankets, grab some grub frome one of the food trucks and enjoy.
Don’t miss out on one of Denver’s most exciting and authentic cultural festivals of the summer, starting June 9th!
