This inaugural Pizza Pop Up, called Colorado Pizza Pop Up Fest, was created by 2 women in the business, Audrey Kelly of Audrey Jane’s Pizza Garage and Melinda Carbajal who co-owns the Simply Pizza Food Truck. What’s even better about this event is that 50 percent of the proceeds go to the organization, Slice Out Hunger, who puts on pizza events to fund support for food insecurity and domestic violence.
While admission is free, coins are used to buy any food or drink inside the event, and can be pre-purchased right now, online, or purchased in store. One coin equals $5, five coins equals $20, and ten coins equals $35.
Some of the pizza joints that will be taking part in this event are Outside Pizza, the Pizza Bandit, Wholly Stromboli, Blue Pan and Antonio’s Real NY Pizza (plus Simply Pizza and Audrey Jane’s), and all of the pizza will be varied in style from square-shaped Detroit-style to giant, thin sliced New York-style, and more.
The festivities take place from 10am-5pm with food, beer donated from Brighton Brewing, wine donated from Infinite Monkey Theorem, and live music. We’ll see you there.
