Originating in New York, the globally popular Death & Co’s second location arrived to Denver in 2018 amongst a booming food and drink scene that hasn’t slowed down since. Now, Denver’s Death & Co landed the 36th spot on The 50 Best Cocktails in North America list.
The original Death & Co in Manhattan, known for its sleek and dark decor set up shop in RiNo neighborhood at the Ramble Hotel, sleek and art-deco stylings welcoming guests upon arrival. So how did this hotel cocktail bar get it’s place on the list? We think there are a few reasons.
First off, the Denver location replaces Manhattan’s dark and windowless aesthetic for something bright and expansive, with several floors making the bar an entire experience. From the rooftop garden to the daytime coffee bar, the exclusive suite 6A bar, (which is closed for summer but returns in the fall) and of course, the main lobby filled with velvet couches and natural light that makes the chandeliers practically sing in the daytime.
The menu has an extensive list of over 40 cocktails (non alcoholic and low ABV included). They’ve got their menu segmented into different sections based on what you might be looking for–dessert, low ABV, “fresh and lively,” “bright and confident,” “elegant and timeless,” “boozy and honest,” and their newest section, “Death & Co Welcome Home” a special section dedicated to their new book.
