Denver has officially came about on the other side of this arctic blast that came from Siberia and has blasted the states with below freezing temperature for the coldest holiday week in nearly 40 years. The snow front hit Denver Thursday morning with highs in the single digits and was the second coldest date in the city’s recorded history, and although we’re still going to see a high of only 19 today, Saturday and Sunday are going to be well into the 40s and 50s.
Despite the weather reaching warmer temperatures over the next couple of days, hundreds of flights were canceled Thursday and this morning, leaving people chaotically stranded in Denver International Airport just ahead of the holidays. Flights have officially hit the 300s cancellations and 500s delays across different airlines.
With the bad weather behind us, we’re excited to see the weather warm up just in time for Christmas morning.
