Get ready for an epic weekend at the 51st annual Denver Oktoberfest.
We weren’t sure if it would be happening, but we’re happy to hear that this weekend, Denver’s annual Oktoberfest will be returning to the city with its first weekend of beer-drinking, costume-wearing, hotdog-eating Oktoberfest festivities.
The festival starts today from 5pm – 11pm and the full festivities start tomorrow, Saturday 18th, with the scheduling ranging from 11am to 11pm and finally, the first weekend ends this Sunday from 11am to 6pm. The second weekend will be September 24th through the 26th.
One of the main stipulations of the festival is the wristband that’s required to attend. Purchase a RFID wristband, which runs you $45 for the whole weekend and gives you $24 for a first free drink each day of the event (or go ahead and spend it all on one day because you can do that as well!) The wristband is also how you can make purchases for food and drink as well.
The official schedule has been released, with live musical performances like polka folk, German-themed bands, and even silent discos will be taking place. There will also be a food hall for sausages, pretzels, turkey legs and more, a Stein hosting competition, a long dog derby, and epic keg bowling!
We’ll see you there for stein chugging and pretzel eating!
