Top of the morning to ya laddies. It’s time to go green during March’s favorite holiday, St. Patrick’s Day. We wanted to celebrate with you all things green–from specialty green cocktails to Irish renditions of your favorite meals, and so here’s our short round up of all of our favorite St. Patty’s parties and food and drink specials. Enjoy!
1. Talnua Distillery
When owners Meagan and Patrick Miller fell in love with Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey on a trip to Ireland, thy knew they wanted to build something that was an ode to that Whiskey, as well as their own Irish roots. Together, they created the first Single Pot Still distillery outside of Ireland, and this St. Patrick’s Day, they’ll be paying ode to real Gaelic tradition with pipe bands, cocktails, and live music on Friday, March 18th and Saturday, March 19th. They’ll also be releasing their anniversary edition Olde Saint’s Keep Whiskey in honor of their 3rd, with limited bottles available.
2. The Pig & The Sprout Bar Crawl
The 5th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Crawl is returning this Saturday at the Pig & The Sprout with plenty of lucky festivities going on during its 8 hour runtime, from 4pm – 12am. Crawl across different bars, starting at The Pig & Sprout at 5-6pm then continuing to Chophouse & Brewery, Jagged Mountain Brewery, The Celtic and more, all with their own themed-drink specials. What’s more, come in costume and go big because the winner will get a whopping $1,000 grand prize.
3. Los Chingones
On March 17th, Los Chingones will be offering up a St. Patty’s special you won’t want to miss, their Corned Beef & Cabbage tacos being served on green tortillas for $5. Don’t miss out on trying their St. Patrick’s Day Margarita and their green Cucumber Melon Margarita
4. Grange Hall
Chef Troy Guard’s food hall, Grange Hall, will be hosting a range of huge range of events to celebrate March Madness and the return of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Grange Hall, which opened last year with a whole host of vendors like the Crack Shack and Xatrucho. Starting Sunday, March 13th, people who are interested in participating in Grange Hall’s March Madness Bracket Tournament can fill out a bracket and winner will get a cash prize. On Thursday, March 17th, the festivities will begin and Grange Hall will open at 9am and have Irish performers at 4-6:30pm. While you root for your team, enjoy drink specials like their Irish Old Fashioned with Keeper’s Heart Irish Whiskey and a Frozen Green Irish Mule.
5. HashTag
HashTag will be whipping up their Baileys Short Stack and Creamy Iced Coffee for a limited amount of time. For $15, get a short stack of pancakes topped with green lucky charm marshmallows, Bailey’s chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and powdered sugar. These will be available on Thursday, March 17th.
