Have you ever wanted to drink whiskey up in the mountains with panoramic views from inside a life-sized whiskey barrel? Maybe it hasn’t crossed your mind as an option, but now that we’ve mentioned it, doesn’t it sound like a fun time? Stoke & Rye over at Westin Riverfront will be showcasing Colorado Whiskey producer, Stranahan’s, bringing you an aprés ski whiskey experience with panoramic views at the base of Beaver Creek.
This aprés ski experience take place inside heated life-sized whiskey barrels on the patio of Stoke & Rye and includes two different whiskey tastings. Plus, a portion of the proceeds from The Stranahan’s Après Ski Lounge will benefit The Cycle Effect, a local non-profit dedicated to empowering young women through mountain biking to create brighter futures and build stronger communities. Be prepared for some excellent whiskey mixed with Stoke & Rye’s chef Richard Sandoval, who creates modern American cuisine inspired by the region.
The Blue Peak Experience costs $90 per person and includes 3 different whiskeys plus a food pairing:
- Maple Old Fashioned Cocktail + Burrata Salad – arugula, truffle salt & heirloom cherry tomatoes
- Stranahan’s Original + Smoked Oysters – with pine, lemon-bourbon aioli, trout caviar & chimichurri
- Stranahan’s Sherry Cask + Beef Tartare – black garlic aioli, marble potato chips, green tapenade, cured quail egg yolk & grilled focaccia
The second option, the Black Diamond Experience, costs $111 per person and includes the same options plus a dessert.

These whiskey experiences will be offered from Friday, March 17th to Sunday April 2nd and will run from 1 – 5pm daily. Advanced bookings are required, which you can make here, and each whiskey barrel is limited to 4 guests maximum.
