Head over to La Diabla Pozole Y Mezcal for their Festival De Bichos, an eating experience highlighting different edible bugs of Mexico paired with amazing menu items. The festival will be happening until the 19th, or until they sell out.
For years it’s been a traditional of Indigenous communities to indulge in the protein-packed insects La Diabla will be featuring like crickets and honey ants
They’ll be offering a sampler platter with different types of insects, or bichos for you to try. Their chapulin taco had been added to their menu in order to slowly introduce the idea to La Diabla’s customers, who reacted with excitement or disgust amongst some other reactions.
From now until Sunday, September 19th, head to La Diabla for their $66.00 platter according to Denver Post that includes 6 different insects like ants, scorpions, and worms melded into creative and delicious recipes like tamales with pineapple, tacos with serrano peppers, and more.
