Created in partnership with the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, Smithsonian Starstruck transforms real astronomical data and imagery into an expedition through the cosmos.
The free-roam virtual reality journey begins at the Smithsonian’s Whipple Observatory before launching visitors into deep space. From there, you’ll listen to the Sun’s actual vibrations, explore an exoplanet where volcanic activity forms diamonds beneath its surface, venture to the edge of a massive black hole, and more. Are you ready to step into the cosmos?
Machu Picchu: Journey to the Lost City
Machu Picchu: Journey to the Lost City reimagines one of the world’s most legendary archaeological sites in immersive virtual reality. The experience took a team of over 50 engineers five years to develop, using rare pandemic-era drone footage, LiDAR, photogrammetry, and invaluable insights from Inca historians.
The payoff is a remarkably accurate rendering of the citadel, from its terraced hillsides to its sprawling mountain views. Visitors wander the ruins at their own pace, led by TERI, a guide character brought to life by Terry Crews.
