Dive into the mind of Taras Shevchenko, 19th-century Ukranian poet, painter, and public figure at Immersive Shevchenko: Soul of Ukraine, an immersive art event coming to Denver this month. Shevchenko is considered to be an iconic figure in Ukranian literature. Not only was his literature an important part of Ukranian culture, but also his artwork and illustrations which also gained prestige. A version of the event has already debuted early 2021 in Ukraine and now will span across 6 different U.S. cities and also virtually.
Over 200 of Shevchenko’s paintings will be digitally projected on wrap-around screens and shows run on a 15 minute loop.
All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit two charities currently assisting Ukraine: the Red Cross Humanitarian Crisis Appeal Fund to Benefit Ukraine and the National Bank of Ukraine Fund. Ticket holders may choose which of these organizations to donate to.
Tickets range from $45 – $90 and can be purchased online. Shows open on March 15th.
