Have you ever wanted a cafe and bookstore that fulfills your pop-culture needs with books, games, and music? Then Mutiny Information Cafe is just the place. The building, located at 2 S. Broadway has been a multitude of different and local shops in its 35 years. From a soda fountain to a dance studio as well as a ton of independent bookstores. Now, this coffee shop meets bookstore meets record store hybrid has set its roots, and the local community couldn’t be more excited.
If you’ve never been to Mutiny Information Cafe, then you might not be aware of the multitudes of media they have to offer. From used books for cheap deals, to tons of records, to a wall of comics they’ve got everything you might be interested, and is opening the way for fans to discover even more. And let’s not forget the bookstore cat.
Their goal is to bring together people with diverse interests and backgrounds in a common space. Flip through a section of used books then head on over to the rows of records then make your final stop checking out their unique and coveted wall of comics. All of this coupled with a cafe serving up strong brew and great coffee. Order a cappuccino and settle in at the newly opened in-store seating.
Right now, retail shopping and the coffee window are open from 10am to 8pm Monday through Thursday, 8am to 10pm on Friday and Saturday, and 8am to 8pm on Sunday! In-store seating and live events have just returned as well! Kepi Ghoulie, an American pop punk band will be performing on June 22nd as well. They’re also a part of an artisan market up until September every Friday.
