Fans of French Celebrity Chef Ludo Lefebvre will be stoked to learn he’s taking his Michelin-starred skills over from Los Angeles into new territory, here in Denver city baby! If y’all haven’t noticed, Denver has been absolutely killing it in the gastronomy scene this year, with some amazing concepts opening up in our city, that is quickly rising to the top of culinary news.
We’re so excited to see this celebrity chef bring a little taste of France and LA to a new luxury hotel debuting in Denver, The Thompson Hotel (now owned by Hyatt).
This will be Lefebvre’s first concept outside of Colorado, and for any readers who may have been to California and are huge fans of French food, you may be familiar with his other restaurants, Petite Trois and Trois Mec, with its Michelin-starred tasting menu, that has since closed.
The restaurant will be called Chez Maggy to honor his late Mother in Law, and the concept will be a mix of French cuisine and gourmet renditions of American favorites. If his other menus are any indication, we can except frites, french onion soup, omelettes, and amazing cuts of steak. Likely, Chez Maggy will incorporate some of that Denver flair the city is known for with its menu items.
We’re looking forward to the grand opening in the swanky and elegant Thompson Hotel. Chez Maggy is slated to open this November and we’ll keep you updated once we learn more.
