Imagine a dining table as far as the eye can see tucked away in the vast fields of Crow Hill near Bailey. Now imagine being part of that very same dining table, eating a meal prepared by The Wolf’s Tailor in collaboration with Outstanding in the Field. Outstanding in the Field creates outdoor experiences across the globe, often during the Autumn season.
This year, they’ll be bringing their dining table to Aurora on August 9th to Crow Hill, a sustainable and environmentally friendly ranch that’s known for its practices. Two time winning James Beard award Chef Kelly Whitaker will tell the story of Crow Hill through the plates offered, which will likely be wild edibles and game from Colorado, which Chef Kelly often highlights at the Wolf’s Tailor.
Sample plates among the 200-acre preserve that’s filled with wildflowers, ponderosa pines, and grazing deer plus panoramic views of the Rockies, and Chef Kelly will be foraging from the nature nearby to create his dishes.
There’s also the option for glamping on the farm in the rustic and luxurious tents that are offered, two people per tent, and continental breakfast is included the next morning.
Ticket prices are different for both events. For the meal, tickets cost $381.41 including tax and for the glamping experience (which also includes 2 seats at the dinner table) tickets cost $2,000. Tickets are a bit pricy but if you’re in the mood for a unique and luxurious summer experience with dishes made by one of Colorado’s most exciting chefs, then this is the event for you. The meal starts at 4pm.
