For the first time in two years, get ready to celebrate Denver’s biggest LGBTQIA+ festival all year, with the return of Denver PrideFest that runs over the course of two full, fun-filled days. The fest will include over 250 exhibitors, 30 food and beverage vendors, and live performances during the entire festival.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of Stonewall, or the Stonewall Riots, a series of organized demonstrations reacting to a police raid that took place at Stonewall Inn in Lower Manhattan New York in the late 60’s.
Attendance can be expected to exceed over 520,000 guests, making for one of the biggest celebrations in the city this summer. The festival kicks off on Saturday, June 25th, with Pride 5K, followed by the two-day festival at Civic Center Park. Run, walk, or sashay through this 5k race for a good cause. The 5k enables supporters of The Center of Colfax to raise funds in support of their mission. Registration for the race starts at 8am and the race starts at 9:30 and once the race is over, enjoy the rest of the festival kicking off for the remainder of the day.
On Sunday, the party kicks off at 9:30am for the Coors Light Denver Pride Parade, which spans 14 blocks of Colfax Ave. from Cheesman Park to Civic Center, where the celebrations will continue on through the rest of the day and into some of the evening.
