It may be warm in the city, but it’s definitely still winter, and a winter getaway sounds perfect for February. Best of all, all of these destinations are within a couple hours drive from Denver.
The Brown Hotel is Denver’s only 4-star, 4-diamond hotel settled in beautiful downtown. A breathtaking and serene vacation with the Colorado Rockies as your backdrop. Sounds like a great staycation. Cheyenne Mountain Colorado Springs has just begun taking reservations again with new safety rules and regulations, so check their website for more details. The resort has everything you might want from a staycation with a full spa, a lake, a pool, and a fitness center. With so much to enjoy, this staycation will likely be incredibly relaxing.

3. Glen Eyrie
Glen Eyrie is one of the most stunning staycation spots on this list, so we had to include it. Tucked away in beautiful Colorado Springs is a secluded English Tudor-style castle built in 1871. It was previously built for General William Jackson Palmer, the founder of Colorado Springs. Now, it’s used to host private events, conferences, or for guests to enjoy. They’ve even got a Valentine’s Day special that includes a carriage ride around the property and a Valentine’s Day dinner menu.

Dunton Hot Springs is described as a romantic 1800s ghost town which definitely highlights the seclusion Dunton Hot Springs Resorts offers. It’s a community of private resorts and homes complete with a spa, dining options, and yoga if you fancy. Aside from all that, their highlight is definitely their hot springs, which have properties suited for increased healthy blood flow. They’ve also got a few different ways to enjoy the hot springs, fr”om their Bathhouse underneath the stars to their pool inside the Well house cabin. Denver Union Station has got its own hotel, and it’s gorgeous. Hop off the train and step into this elegant and historic hotel, complete with high-ceilings and stunning chandeliers. What’s unique about this hotel is the fact that it sits above Union Station, so you can hop downstairs to shop, eat, and drink, or step outside into Downtown Denver. The perfectly situated hotel for a day full of fun.

Flying Moon Cabins is a staycation experience that’s gotten lots of hype for its vintage vibes. Reminiscent of the late 60s, early 70s, these cabins have actually been around since the 50s. These secluded cabins are quiet, private, and quaint, and absolutely perfect for a solo staycation or a romantic couple’s retreat. Plus, right outside your door is the beautiful wilderness of Idaho Springs. Sounds like the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Outlook Lodge is the perfect little mountain retreat, situated up in Green Mountain Falls and surrounded by wilderness. If you’re in the mood for a spa staycation, then check out Joyful Journey Hot Springs in Moffat, Colorado. A bit further from the city, but its perfect if you’re looking for a quiet escape.
