The Beer Spa, a business that combines wellness with craft beer, was created from the vision of Jessica French and Damien Zouaoui. The two entrepreneurial jet setters took off on a round-the-world trip hoping to find inspiration for a business by implementing what they found abroad and bringing it back to the states. After trying a whole slew of interesting concepts like go-kart racing in Tokyo and hedgehog cafes, a beer spa popped up on their Google Maps while in Poland. The idea planted a seed of inspiration in their mind: what other concept brings together beer, wellness, and community in such a unique way? They brought their idea back over to Denver, a city known for its wellness and beer–after exploring and researching other countries that emphasize bathing culture like Budapest and South Korea.
The Beer Spa was born in Denver’s Five Points neighborhood and is one of Denver’s most unique wellness spots yet.
The Beer Spa operates as part spa, part taproom, as well as offering “beer-infused services.” Soak in a warm bath while sipping on their unique offerings of craft beer on tap in collaboration with different breweries. Guests can come and enjoy the taproom on its own or take advantage of the spa treatments available.
Their Beer Bath is one of their most popular treatments offered. Sit inside a cedar tub filled with medicinal blends of hops, barley, and herbs, blended meticulously to benefit hair, skin, and nails, that changes seasonally. Alongside the beer bath, you get access to an infrared sauna, rain shower, and a relaxation desk as part of their 90-minute Beer Therapy™ Room package. Even better, the beer bath can be enjoyed all year long with warm temperatures in the winter and colder temperatures during summer.
They’ve got different packages ranging in price depending on what’s included, and you can even come and enjoy just the taproom if you’d like. Check out their website for a full list of offerings. Cheers!
