As the seasons start to transition here in Denver, there are so many amazing things to put on your to-do list. Have a look below at a selection of our top activities for April, to fully embrace spring in Denver:
1. Be enchanted at these special Candlelight concerts
If you’re in the mood for a little culture, then get tickets for this wildly popular series, Candlelight. Enjoy a stunning evening at a popular Denver venue made more gorgeous by the flickering of a sea of candles. Listen to classic renditions of some of your favorite artists like Coldplay, Taylor Swift, or Queen.
2. Be swept away by your favorite 9os sitcom, Friends, at this immersive experience
If your life’s a joke, you’re broke, and your love life’s D.O.A then this Friend’s Experience Pop-Up is for you. This one-of-a-kind immersive and interactive experience is coming to the capital, and it’s sure to charm superfans of the 90s sitcom. Bring your ‘lobster’ with you and get ready for hilarious activities, alluring merch, and a dozen nostalgia-packed rooms replicated from the cult series! You can even sit on the iconic orange couch, and don’t forget to leave without capturing a few selfies.
3. Finally figure out what the heck an NFT is at this interactive art gallery
Here we are. It’s 2022 and the newest versions of art galleries are going digital. Don your VR headsets and get ready to join the Metaverse at this truly unique experience. Don’t know what an NFT is? We’ve got you covered. As a warning, the gallery WILL be empty upon arrival, but that all changes as soon as you put the VR headset on, where you’ll be transported to another world.
4. Dive under the sea at this Little Mermaid-themed cocktail experience
“A magical event ‘under the sea’ just opened in Denver, plunging you into the legendary Hans Christian Andersen tale. As you make your way through stormy waters, kaleidoscopic corals and glimmering pearls guide you to the submerged world of the Little Mermaid. The sea-themed experience will introduce you to delicious cocktails and entertaining performances, all while draped in spectacular decor.”
5. Find Bigfoot at this special festival celebrating the elusive big guy himself
Grab your gear and head out into the woods because Bigfoot is out there, and he might just be at Estes Park this weekend. Today and tomorrow, April 2nd, celebrate all things Sasquatch with a gang of Bigfoot enthusiasts, Bigfoot celebrities, and maybe the big guy himself. Check out their website for all the details.
6-18. Enjoy an elevated experience at one of Denver’s best rooftop bars
Denver’s surrounded by stunning panoramic views of the vast Rockies and the best way to get a bird’s eye view is through the city’s incredible rooftops. Most of Denver’s rooftops have a certain vibe about them–think a fun and wild cocktail type of night rather than a couple of chill beers–but there is that too if you fancy it. Vibes aside, each of Denver’s rooftop bars will take you to new heights.
19. Cultural Roots Night Market and Mix Tape
The History Colorado Center will be hosting a special celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander culture with an outdoor night market that’ll have AAPI food, craft, and beverage vendors to explore. Enjoy the celebration on April 17th from 2:30 to 4:30am.
20. Visit the new interactive art collection at the Denver Art Museum
The Denver Art Museum has unleashed their brand new, interactive art collections. Denver Art Museum turned to Mexico City-based Esrawe + Cadena designers to build the new spaces, which museum goers can sit in. Check out their website for more information on how to visit.
21. Soak your worries away in a barrel of beer
For the health conscious and beer lovers, this one’s for you. Book a spa day at The Beer Spa, a wellness center that will let you soak your troubles away in an actual hot-tub sized cedar barrel that’s filled with water full of hops, barley, and herbs that’s great for the hair, skin, and nails. With the soak, you also get a beer to enjoy from their taproom that includes a lot of local Denver favorites. Or just enjoy the taproom they’ve got. Either way, a great way to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.
22-42. Watch the seasons change at one of these outdoor, cozy patios
It’s nearly patio season here in Denver, and we couldn’t be more excited to watch as the snow melts away and gives into cherry blossoms, spring blooms, and warmer weather. If you’re interested in soaking up all that Colorado sun and fresh mountain air, check out one of these 20 outdoor patios–from fancy greenhouses to outdoor picnics on astro turf, Denver’s got it all.
